- When should we start planning our honeymoon?
- Ideally 9 to 12 months before your wedding. Long-haul honeymoons (Maldives, Bali, Polynesia, Africa) sell out quickly in peak UK school-holiday windows and best-room upgrades go early. For shoulder-season trips 6 months is usually enough.
- What honeymoon perks can you secure?
- Through Travel Counsellors and direct relationships with leading hotel collections, I can request honeymoon perks such as room upgrades, resort credits, late check-out, champagne on arrival, romantic turndown and couples-spa treatments — subject to availability and the hotel's programme at the time of booking.
- Maldives or Bora Bora — which is better for UK honeymooners?
- The Maldives wins on flight time (around 10 hours direct from London/Manchester) and value, with hundreds of overwater villa resorts at every price point. Bora Bora is a longer 20+ hour journey but offers dramatic volcanic scenery. I'll recommend based on budget, season and what you want from the trip.
- Can you arrange a honeymoon fund or gift list?
- Yes — I can issue gift vouchers your guests can contribute towards, ranging from a single experience (a couples massage, a private dinner) to the full trip. It's a great alternative to a traditional wedding list.
- Do you plan vow renewals and milestone anniversaries?
- Absolutely — these are some of my favourite trips to design. From an intimate sunset ceremony in Santorini to a private safari for a silver wedding, the planning approach is the same care and personalisation as a first honeymoon.
